Unmissable UCL Quarter-Final Matches Tonight

The Champions League returns tonight to finish off the first leg of the quarter-finals tonight, with three incredibly exciting matches taking place. Tonight’s matches contain some of the best teams and players in Europe and the rest of the world.

Borussia Dortmund start everything off this afternoon at Signal Iduna Park where they host Monaco. The match was set to take place yesterday but it was called off due to three explosions hitting the Dortmund team bus, breaking center-back Marc Bartra’s wrist and sending the entire team into shock. Bartra is now in hospital and will obviously miss out on the game. Dortmund staff and fans are worried that the team will be able to perform after what has happened.

Dortmund are favorites to win overall and it will be very difficult for the underdogs Monaco to make it through to the semi finals, even against a shocked opponent.

Two hours after Dortmund vs Monaco starts and less than half an hour after it finishes, two more matches will start. Atletico de Madrid vs Leicester City will take place at Vicente Calderon in Spain. Atletico are favorites to win overall but may have some trouble against Leicester after a large patch of very strong form and a very promising run in the Champions League.

Leicester will want to make the most of their chances tonight and next week as they are almost certainly out of Champions League and Europa League next season. The only way they will make it to Europa League is if they gain 18 points on Arsenal and Everton in the next seven games which is extremely unlikely.

At the same time as Atletico de Madrid vs Leicester City will be Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid. Possibly the most exciting match in the quarter finals, the leaders of the two highest ranked leagues in the world go head-to-head. Bayern Munich are favorites to win at home at Allianz Arena whilst Real are favorites to win the second leg when they are at home.

Personally, I find it very hard to split the two teams overall, but I predict that Real Madrid will come out on top in the end.

These three games and the second leg matches next week are sure to be action packed along with many other exciting games that will be on this April. The FA Cup returns with two insane matches in the semi finals including the top two EPL teams, and many other large teams will be going head-to-head.
